Universal scraper conveyor

Universal scraper conveyor type PZU 440/E180WM is designed for run-of-mine out-take from stone and coal workings – horizontal or sloped up to ±18°. It can be operated in underground mining workings in rooms with methane explosion hazard grade ”a”, “b”, “c”, and coal dust explosion hazard class A and B. Depending on the needs, the PZU-440/E180 WM conveyor can be entirely positioned directly on a footwall or partially positioned on a footwall, with drive seated on a sub-base or suspended, =or entirely suspended above the receiving conveyor or carts

Conveyor set-up with the drive on a sub-base or suspended is as follows: return station and a couple of troughs are placed on a footwall, and the remaining part of the trough line, together with the drive, is suspended or placed on a subbase above the receiving conveyor or carts. The method of conveyor advancing over the footwall is up to the user. PZU-440/E180WM conveyor consists of the following elements:

• drive assembly, equipped with two engines with the power of 22 kW or 30 kW, two gears - PPL-14/22 or AP-400-22/30, and two flexible couplings
• reversing station with chute,
• drive sub-base or suspension,
• conveyor trough line made of troughs with E180 profile, 440 mm in width, and 1500 mm in length, with a 12-mm thick wear-resistant siding sheet metal,
• conveyor route made of 18x64 scraper chain connected to scrapers by means of clamping ring, screws and nuts,
• conveyor suspension elements.
