SV friction PROPS
Friction props are individual components of mining support intended to prop ceilings in mining roadways. Made of section V25, V29, V32/34/36.
The props can represent a stand-alone support or can be used as supporting elements for another type of support. Stand-alone face support in its essential equipment configuration is composed of:
- SV props of the size adequate for the height of a given face, as per the Technical Documentation of Longwall Mining and Equipment,
- steel roof-bars
- PZ (toothed) or PHT-50 (hydraulic) elevators being the part of longwall equipment, necessary for prop installation.
SV prop range covers 16 basic prop sizes from 1000 to 4500 mm in an extended state.
The prop structure includes bottom, core print, prop foot, crown head, stirrups depending on a prop type (lower, upper, middle).
Among the SV props, we differentiate SV props – with two stirrups, Svt – with three stirrups, SVtw – with four stirrups.
